1. Purpose and Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the 10-DLC Registry Platform (the "Service") provided by 10-DLC Registry Platform ("we," "us," or "our"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, without refund, and may expose you to civil and criminal liability.
Zero Tolerance Policy
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for abusive, illegal, or harmful conduct. Any violation of this AUP will be taken seriously and may result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
2. Prohibited Activities
You expressly agree NOT to use the Service for any of the following prohibited activities:
2.1 Illegal Activities
- Any activity that violates local, state, federal, or international laws or regulations
- Facilitating or promoting illegal goods, services, or activities
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crimes
- Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing (MLM) without proper disclosures, or other fraudulent schemes
- Illegal gambling, sports betting, or gaming activities
- Sale or distribution of controlled substances, illegal drugs, or drug paraphernalia
- Sale of firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapons without proper licensing
- Human trafficking, prostitution, or escort services
- Copyright infringement, trademark violation, or other intellectual property theft
2.2 Spam and Unsolicited Messages
- Sending spam, junk messages, or unsolicited commercial communications
- Purchasing, renting, or using third-party contact lists without explicit consent
- Sending messages to individuals who have not explicitly opted in to receive them
- Failing to honor opt-out requests within 10 business days
- Failing to provide a clear and easy way for recipients to opt out
- Using deceptive subject lines or sender information
- Sending messages more frequently than recipients reasonably expect
- Violating CAN-SPAM Act, TCPA, GDPR, CASL, or other anti-spam laws
2.3 Fraud and Deception
- Phishing, spoofing, or impersonating any person, entity, or brand
- Creating false, misleading, or deceptive messaging campaigns
- Making false claims about products, services, or business practices
- Omitting material information required by law or regulation
- Identity theft or unauthorized use of another person's information
- Creating fake brands or businesses for fraudulent purposes
- Submitting fraudulent or falsified documents during registration
- Providing false or misleading information to TCR, carriers, or us
2.4 Harmful or Malicious Content
- Transmitting viruses, malware, ransomware, or other harmful code
- Distributing hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content
- Sending threatening, abusive, or defamatory messages
- Promoting violence, terrorism, or self-harm
- Sharing sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic content
- Exploiting, endangering, or harming minors in any way
- Doxxing or sharing private information without consent
- Bullying, stalking, or harassing individuals
2.5 High-Risk or Restricted Use Cases
The following use cases are prohibited or require special approval:
- Debt collection messages (restricted - requires special approval)
- Cannabis-related businesses (restricted by carrier policies)
- Cryptocurrency or ICO promotions (high risk - may be restricted)
- High-risk financial services (payday loans, debt consolidation, etc.)
- Political campaigning or lobbying (restricted - requires special registration)
- Sweepstakes, contests, or giveaways without proper disclosures
- Age-restricted content (alcohol, tobacco, vaping) without age verification
- Get-rich-quick schemes, work-from-home scams, or similar offers
Note: Some industries require additional vetting, documentation, or carrier approval. Contact us before registering campaigns in restricted industries.
2.6 Technical Abuse
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other systems
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service, servers, or networks
- Launching denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
- Probing, scanning, or testing vulnerabilities without authorization
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service
- Circumventing security measures, authentication, or access controls
- Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) without authorization
- Exceeding rate limits or usage quotas
2.7 Misuse of the Service
- Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the Service without authorization
- Using the Service for competitive analysis or benchmarking without permission
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits, restrictions, or billing
- Sharing your account credentials with unauthorized users
- Using shared or disposable phone numbers for registration
- Registering campaigns that you do not intend to use
- Providing services to third parties using your account ("white-labeling") without approval
3. Compliance Requirements
In addition to avoiding prohibited activities, you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations:
3.1 TCPA Compliance
You must comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA):
- Obtain prior express written consent before sending marketing messages
- Maintain proof of consent for all recipients
- Honor opt-out requests immediately (within 10 business days)
- Provide clear identification in all messages
- Respect Do Not Call (DNC) registry restrictions
- Avoid calling or texting outside permitted hours (8am-9pm local time)
3.2 CAN-SPAM Compliance
- Use accurate header information (sender name, email, reply-to)
- Use non-deceptive subject lines
- Identify messages as advertisements when applicable
- Include your physical postal address
- Provide a clear and easy opt-out mechanism
- Honor opt-out requests within 10 business days
3.3 CTIA Guidelines
- Follow CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices
- Provide clear program descriptions and terms
- Support standard opt-out keywords (STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT)
- Support HELP keyword with customer support information
- Respect message frequency expectations
- Include appropriate disclaimers (message/data rates may apply)
3.4 GDPR and Privacy Laws
- Obtain explicit consent for data collection and processing
- Provide clear privacy notices and policies
- Honor data subject rights (access, deletion, portability)
- Implement appropriate data security measures
- Report data breaches as required by law
- Maintain records of consent and data processing activities
3.5 Carrier and TCR Requirements
- Provide accurate brand and campaign information
- Use campaigns only for their registered purpose
- Respond promptly to modification requests from carriers or TCR
- Maintain compliance documentation for audits
- Update registration information when business details change
- Comply with carrier-specific policies and volume limits
4. Reporting Violations

We investigate all reported violations and take appropriate action, which may include account suspension, termination, or reporting to law enforcement.
5. Enforcement and Consequences
5.1 Investigation
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. You agree to cooperate with such investigations and provide requested information or documentation.
5.2 Consequences of Violation
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations may receive a written warning
- Suspension: Temporary suspension of your account or specific features
- Termination: Immediate termination of your account without refund
- Legal Action: Civil or criminal prosecution for serious violations
- Reporting: Reporting to law enforcement, regulatory agencies, or third parties
- Liability: You may be held liable for damages, losses, and legal fees
5.3 No Refunds
Accounts terminated for AUP violations are not eligible for refunds of any fees paid.
5.4 Preservation of Rights
Nothing in this AUP limits our right to take any action we deem necessary to protect the Service, our users, or third parties. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
6. Your Responsibilities
6.1 Due Diligence
You are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards for your messaging campaigns. If you are unsure about compliance, consult with legal counsel.
6.2 Monitoring
You must monitor your messaging campaigns for compliance, opt-out requests, and recipient complaints. Implement processes to handle opt-outs and complaints promptly.
6.3 Documentation
Maintain records of consent, opt-outs, message content, and compliance measures. These records may be requested during audits or investigations.
6.4 Training
Ensure that all users with access to your account understand and comply with this AUP and applicable laws.
7. Changes to This AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in laws, regulations, industry standards, or our policies. We will provide notice of material changes by email or through the Service at least 30 days before the effective date.
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
